It takes guts to start or buy a business. It takes vision to lead and build it. And it takes a whole lot of endurance to stay the course through cycles of growth, hardship, and re-invention. Entrepreneurial leadership is not for the faint of heart.
While many businesses are currently enjoying a season of growth, economists predict a recession on the near horizon. To survive and thrive through economic and demographic changes, we must lead with purpose, clarity, and RESILIENCE.
ACTION19 speakers will focus on four categories of resilience that every business leader should be planning for and activating in 2019 and beyond: Recruiting, Retention, Revenue, and Recession-Planning.
Join us for a half-day of learning, connecting, and inspiration.
Cory Hepola is a multiple Emmy award-winning anchor, host, and reporter. Called a “Game Changer” in broadcasting, Hepola has been featured on the cover of Twin Cities Business Magazine.
Cory has a passion for people, for inspiring and empowering, and for creatively telling their stories. In October 2018, Cory was presented with his second Emmy Award in three years for Outstanding Anchor, this time for his work surrounding Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.
But, Cory’s story didn’t start there; it took him 13 years, more than 350 station rejections, 6 jobs in different states, and 2 layoffs to reach his dream of working in his home state of Minneapolis. There were times that it felt impossible, like the dream was too large.
“Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
Cory shares this with the hope that it will help inspire others to keep pushing towards their dream, as impossible as it may seem.
