Good in the ‘Hood is an urban-based, partnering organization committed to initiating and sustaining focused acts of kindness as a means of inspiring neighborhood collaboration and personal transformation.
Their Shoe Away Hunger program collects shoes from various places, which are then sorted and prepared for local shoe events where shoes are sold for a low cost. The revenue generated from these events funds their 30 hunger relief sites all over the Twin Cities. Each pair of shoes they receive, sort, and distribute, represents about 1 week’s worth of groceries for a person experiencing food insecurity.
Join us for an afternoon of sorting shoe donations at their Plymouth warehouse to prepare them for an upcoming sale and work with us to eliminate local hunger “one sole at a time”!
