This was our first time serving with The Sheridan Story and we all enjoyed it. Our Two Or More community of volunteers gathered at their warehouse in Roseville to pack, organize, and box bags of food for kids that are facing food insecurity. This team of volunteers packed 1,650 bags which equals 6,325 meals for families!
The Sheridan Story is one of community response to a direct call for food support from a local elementary school, Sheridan Elementary in Northeast Minneapolis. They provide non-perishable food bags in backpacks of kids that are facing food insecurity over the weekends. Due to strong community support The Sheridan Story has grown to serve more than 5,400 students in 144 schools across the Twin Cities.
What a privilege to support such a great cause, spend time with amazing people, and make a community-supporting impact.
