We had the very best Valentine’s Day with the Two Or More community of volunteers, sending some tangible love – in the form of books – around the world! On February 14th, we brought together 27 business professionals from all around the Twin Cities to serve by sorting and packing books at Books For Africa in St. Paul, MN.
A simple name for an organization with a simple mission: Books For Africa collects, sorts, ships, and distributes books to students of all ages in Africa. Their goal: to end the book famine in Africa.
Access to an education is one of the only opportunities young people have to end the cycle of poverty and attain a better quality of life than previous generations. Books For Africa works to help children who otherwise would not attend school by supplying educational materials to reduce or eliminate education costs.
We’re so grateful for the chance to support a mission that impacts lives around the world in such a meaningful way.
We are incredibly grateful to our event partners, whose support makes serving even sweeter! Thank you to non-profit, Read Indeed, for their generous donation of books toward this event, and to GoKart Labs for their sponsorship of lunch for all of our volunteers.
Check out our upcoming Two Or More service events here, and register to receive updates and invitations via email.
